Dr. Whitfield Unveils Art after Keynote Address for CoDA

After completing his Keynote address, telling his story as a member of CoDA, at the annual international convention of Co-Dependents Anonymous in Asheville, NC, Dr. Charles Whitfield unveils a rare glimpse into a personal artistic endeavor that is creatively tied to his work in recovery.
Here he presents a painting he made several years ago of Persephone (representing the conscious mind) walking along, and Pluto (God of the Underworld, representing the ego) attempting to drag her down into the Underworld.

Smiles abounded as did cell-phone cameras to capture the moment, the message, and the metaphor.
